CUTTY SARK – Traditional plank-on-bulkhead construction uses pre-cut plywood for frames and keel. The deck is covered with individual strips of walnut, while the hull features a beautiful contrast of dark walnut and lighter limewood planking. Boxwood deadeyes and blocks, numerous beech and bokapi parts are ready to use. Fittings include burnished metal ports, white metal anchors, davits and capstan, brass wire, chain, pin nails and ladder, plus highly detailed photo-etched brass ornamentation. Three diameters of rigging, cotton sail material, silk-screened flag and wooden display base complete the kit. Precisely drawn plans place special emphasis on rigging, and illustrated instructions are complete with a parts list.
