Le Camaret, is a French cutter for lobster fishing built at the beginning of the 20th century. This type of boat was used mostly on the Atlantic coast of France.In the Brittany region we have the population of Camaret-sur-Mer, which gives this kit its name. The port of Camaret was famous for lobster fishing, during the first half of the 20th century it was the largest lobster port in all of France. Nowadays it is not its main activity, taking advantage of its heritage to attract tourists. In 1992 La Belle Etoile was reconstructed on the occasion of Brest 92, equipped with several passenger cabins, today offers the possibility of 6-day cruises for tourists where they live the great adventure of the sea.
Contains the traditional construction kit. It is a wooden and metal boat, scale 1:35. Hollow hull with false keel and ribs laser cut. Pre-cut pieces in wood, turned brass and cast parts for details. Detailed assembly instruction book in 7 languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese. It also includes 4 plans with all the views and details necessary for its construction.
