HMS SURPRISE The French Frigate Unite, built in 1794, was taken with no resistance from the neutral harbor of Bona in the Mediterranean on 20 April 1796 by the British Frigate Inconstant. She was purchased for the Royal Navy, renamed HMS Surprise, and armed with 24 x 32 pounder carronades on the upper deck.
HMS Surprise Kit includes everything needed to build except for glue, paint and tools. Pictorial instruction manual in color and detailed plans make building easy and a pleasure.
Artesania Latina has again outdone themselves, this model replica of the HMS Surprise is one of the best kits I have seen come out in years, coupled with easy to follow color pictorial instructions, detailed plans and generous use of high quality woods, this kit will surely set the example for other kit makers.
