ST. HELENA 1814 BRIGATEEN SCHOONER
 

St. Helena a 135 ton schooner brig launched in August 1814, built by Wigram & Green at Blackwall Yard at a cost of _21 a ton. She entered service on the routes linking Britain with its East Indian colonies. Her main features were her ability to transport provisions and her good navigational qualities. She had large-capacity holds, although her waterlines were not too full. She was commissioned by the Honorable East India Company for which she made several trips until she was sold upon her final return to England in 1830.
