DUTCH RIVER CARGO BOAT
 

The Silhouet is a river boat built in 1893 in Groningen, Holland. This type of boat, known as "Tjalk", was once very common in the Netherlands and was used as a light cargo boat on the country's inland waterways. The fact they don't have a keel allowed to navigate very shallow waters. This is also why two skegs are on the sides of the boat. The usual crew consisted of two people.
